Few events bring our community together quite like the Nueva Book Fair. Our on-campus pop-up bookstores are joyful places where students, staff, and parents meet — either by plan or serendipitously — to exchange ideas about life, the universe, and everything.
We hope you’ll join one of this year’s community events to meet old and new friends, talk books, and share recommendations. Find details below and check back for more on-campus events to be announced.
Additionally, Nueva community members are welcome to attend the Book Fair, whenever it is convenient for them. Volunteering is also a great way to spend time with Nueva friends at the Fair. Sign up to volunteer at San Mateo or the Hillsborough campus today.

Lower school parents, you’re invited to the parent-child social event of the year, to share lunch and the gift of literature with your child while supporting the school. You’ll join your student(s) in the J Building courtyard for lunch and a shopping excursion at the Book Fair. If you have time to linger, we invite you to stay and shop for yourself and/or purchase books for teachers from their wishlists.

Ready to prove your love of all things literary? Nueva’s resident trivia master and Communications team member Rachel Freeman will facilitate a lively trivia competition for students, parents, and teachers after school in the Cafe. (May we suggest that any adults with a PhD in literature should sit this one out?) With a nod to the Upper School’s legendary toast subculture, attendees will be treated to a buffet of toast and toppings. The Book Fair bookstore will be open for shopping during this time.
