Celebrating books and authors since 1982
The Nueva Book Fair has been one of the most highly anticipated community events since 1982, when it was first produced by then-librarian Debbie Abilock with Linden Tree books. The goal was to build a community of readers by surrounding teachers and students with new and noteworthy books and inviting authors to the school to speak about their craft.
What was originally hosted over two days on a few rows of tables in the Mansion Ballroom is now a celebration spread over two weeks and two campuses. What hasn’t changed is that the book selection is highly curated to appeal to the Nueva community. This year, every single one of the 1,100+ titles you’ll find on this site was hand-selected by the Book Fair committee.
And as every year, the proceeds will be used to support literacy programs from preK to 12, including the Book Fair’s invaluable visiting author program.
